Econotech is a pulp and paper testing laboratory service located in Vancouver, Canada. They provide a range of services to a worldwide market and needed a website redesign to better showcase their services and attract new customers. Their existing website was very outdated, not mobile friendly and difficult to find specific tests they offered. They felt it was affecting their ability to compete as a leader in their industry so they were seeking a web design partner, and chose to work with Varro Creative to bring their website vision to life.
For the Econotech website redesign project, we started by analyzing their current website, their services, and their target audience. We conducted a thorough competitor analysis to identify areas where Econotech could improve and differentiate themselves. Based on our research, we developed a website redesign plan, created wireframes to better organize their content and showcase their services, and assisted with writing web copy.
We built a custom, responsive WordPress website tailored to Econotech’s specific needs. The website’s flexible and intuitive platform allows us to easily manage and update content as needed, and add interactive features, such as a testing process map.
The new website also features a searchable test list, allowing visitors to easily find the testing services they need. To optimize the website for search engines, we conducted keyword research and incorporated those keywords into the website’s content and meta descriptions. We also set up Google Analytics to track website traffic and engagement.
