This fall I was excited to be a part of the Food Bloggers of Canada Association’s annual conference. The event was held in Ottawa and featured a variety of speakers, food tastings and workshops, as well as lots of great networking opportunities and take home gifts.
I spoke at the event about Web Security and strategies for keeping your blog safe. We covered lots of easy ways for non-techies to back up their site and block hack attempts. We also looked at options for how to get help if they encountered a security problem.
The feedback on my talk was great and I really enjoyed meeting and sharing ideas with the other speakers and attendees. We had lots of great discussions about blogging, social media and video. Really looking forward to putting what I learned into action too!
If you are a Canadian food blogger, I highly recommend joining the association. I’ve been a member for years, and maintain my own personal food blog at: www.foodventure.ca
