Below are links to some helpful resources that may come in handy when working on website and graphic design projects:
Website Hosting (SiteGround)
I highly recommend, and personally use SiteGround for website hosting. They are very cost effective, have good support and also offer free security certificates. They are great for WordPress or HTML website hosting.
Domain Names (GoDaddy & Rebel)
GoDaddy (for any domain) and Rebel (for .ca and others) are great places to purchase your website domain name.
If you need stock images or graphics, Adobe Stock is a great choice. I have an account and can purchase images for you if you don’t want to purchase a membership. iStock is also a great choice for one-time purchases but can be more expensive. Pixabay has free stock images if you are able to find what you are looking for.
Icons are a great way to add a visual element to your design project. Look for free and paid icons here:
Video & Slideshows
Get your message across with video! We love the simple interface, templates, and royalty free music selection built right into Animoto. It’s one of our favorites for making videos and slideshows.
If you want to make your own social media graphics, check out Canva. It’s free, easy to use and helps you create beautiful graphics in the correct sizes for all the social platforms.
Mailing List & Email Marketing
MailChimp is great, especially for e-Commerce website to manage mailing lists and email marketing campaigns. They have free basic accounts.
Sending and Sharing Files
We love Dropbox. It’s a great way to send, share and organize files with a team.
Documents & Collaboration
Nothing beats Google Docs for document sharing and collaboration. It’s free with a Gmail account and you can create/share word documents and spreadsheets easily.
JukeBox is our favourite Canadian print company, who can print just about anything! Watch for great business card specials.
