The Project
Urban Life Solutions is a rapidly growing national company that provides commercial maintenance services. They encompass a family of companies across Canada offering landscaping, snow and ice removal, road sweeping, asphalt, and towing services. They are expanding quickly across a variety of specializations, and needed one main brand presence to house all their services under.
As part of their multi-year project to expand and unify their brand, they needed to revise each website, and then work to rebrand the companies together. They approached us to take on this ambitious project of bringing all their brands under one digital roof. We opted to create a WordPress Multisite system, where each company could maintain a unique web identity, but also share one consistent look and feel. There are also shared assets between the brands, and one easy to manage main backend.

Our Approach
We kept each of their existing brands with its own domain, and gave each one a unique key color. Each site also has its own content and imagery, but there is a consistent footer between all the brands and a slide-out menu that can easily jump between the different sites. This lets customers easily explore the variety of brands and services they offer. As Urban Life expands and takes on more companies, it will be easy to add new websites under their umbrella.
The main website also speaks to their growth and professionalism, and houses all the contact info, career postings and news that is shared among its sub-companies. It was a great project to initially set up, and we look forward to continuing to add onto the system as they grow.
WordPress is a great tool for creating dynamic and growth-minded websites. It is easy to add onto and change overtime, and has lots of great tools for ensuring consistent branding and shared assets. It was a pleasure working with them and we are very happy with how the website turned out. Take a look at the project here: www.urbanlifesolutions.com
