W.P. Telectronics Website Redesign

W.P. Telectronics Website Redesign | Varro Creative

The Project

Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, W.P. Telectronics has been Western Canada’s cable placing and splicing experts in telecommunications construction since 1975. They have extensive cable placement, splicing, and testing experience, and are known for bringing quality work and productivity together safely. WPT has placed thousands of kilometers of cable both underground and aerially from BC to Ontario during their 40+ years in business.

Like many businesses who have been in business as long as they have been, they had an existing website, which had become out of date visually and content wise. Their logo had also become dated and they were seeking to enhance their overall brand, both online and off, as part of their growth strategy. The website content was quite thin, and missing key details about the services they provide. It was also difficult to keep up to date, including posting jobs they were hiring for.

They originally contracted us to redesign their website, and the project extended to working with them on a logo redesign, graphic creation and photography to create a very well improvement to their online and offline presence.

WPT Telectronics Web Redesign

Our Approach

We worked with the WPT team on the brand refresh first, which included a revised logo with updated fonts and color pallet. They wanted a simple logo that would stand out when used in a wide variety of applications like vehicle branding, print materials and online. This new look and feel was a modern take on their original logo and brand color. We also did a photoshoot with their team to provide professional headshots of all the main stakeholders.

Next we worked with them to redesign and rebuild a responsive website with more modern visuals and updated information about their services. We wanted the design to reflect their company’s professionalism and services, while being easy to navigate and accessible on any device. Since they planned to update the website internally via their IT department, and security was important to them, we built the website as responsive HTML.

A website redesign is a great way to promote new services, and stay competitive in your industry. We love website redesign projects because we can see what worked and what didn’t and can ensure your new website meets more of your business needs and is reflective of how your company has grown and changed over time. It was a pleasure working with them, and we are pleased with how the website turned out. Take a look at the project here: www.wptelectronics.ca
